Runabout Boats

Sailboats

A sailboat is partly or entirely propelled by sails. Sailboats are distinguished by the hull configuration (mono-hull, catamaran, trimaran), the keel type (full, fin, wing, centreboard etc), purpose (sport, racing, cruising), the number and configuration of masts, and the sail plan.

Multi Hull Sailboats

This class of sailboats have more than one hull that provide stability and holds the vessel upright against the sideways force of the wind of the sails.

Pontoon Boats

Known as “party boats”. Pontoon boats have a large flat deck and the hull is constructed of round tubes called sponsons that are attached to the outside, bottom edge of the boat and has a deck surrounding all sides of the boat. This class of boats has a length of 16 to 22 feet and is typically large enough for 6 to 12 people.

Deck Boats

The purpose of this v-hull boat is lake and river cruising. It typically has a generous open deck and passenger seating. Larger deck boats over 24 feet have seating for over 12 people. These boats cruise at moderate speeds between 25 and 50 mph depending on the model and horsepower.

Bass Boats

Bass boats are typically used for fishing yet they are higher quality and travel faster than standard aluminium boats. These boats are mainly fibreglass, and have a shallow hull designed for speed, operating in excess of 45 mph.

Aluminium Jet Drive Boats

These boats generally operate at low speeds between 20 and 35 mph, have few comforts, and have the most basic finish

Antique Boats

Antique boats are typically wooden and range in length from 15 to 30 feet. An antique boat can be outboards, speedboats, runabouts, utilities, ski boats, launches and canoes.

Cruiser Trawlers

A Trawler can also refer to a cruising trawler. It is a recreational boat so named because it resembles a trawler.
